Happy Birthday To SMS...!!!

The SMS service is celebrating its 20th Birthday today.On 3rd DEC,1992 Neil Papworth, a 22-year-old British engineer, sent the first text message via Vodafone's UK network to an Orbitel 901 mobile phone. The message said, "Merry Chistmas."

There was a gap of eight years from when SMS was first envisaged by Finland's civil servant Matti Makkonen at a telecommunication
conference in 1984 to the first actual SMS being sent outside laboratory conditions(which was on 3rd DEC,1992).

After ruling for 2decades as the medium of communication for the youth generation.Connecting so many hearts,creating so many relations and much more.

But the use of SMS is now on decline.The availability of a wider range of communications tools, like instant messaging and social networking sites, means people might be sending fewer SMS messages, but they are communicating electronically more than ever before.

Technological change is now so rapid and so unpredictable that no one can say how we will be communicating in 20 years' time.

So what do you thing What would be the technology 20years from now,will it still be the age of social networking or some new technology will take its place...!!!

No matter whatever technology may evolve or come in near future but we all will agree that SMS has played a ever vital role in our life without....!!!
